Project Taveuni (Fiji)

A collection of photos as part of a project update as given by Colin Peel. Included are photos of a trailer sponsored jointly by RC Boronia and RC Geelong Central, to support local islanders in construction and reconstruction of buildings following cyclones. Lavena is completely restored including Solar Power. 4 Houses have been built at Niusawa School for Teachers including a trial house with 4 bedrooms ( two at each end of the house ) for single teachers. Work has started on two teachers houses at South Taveuni – see photos. As a note we have changed they way the teams work. We are building frames and roof trusses at the Rotary Storage Facility to both save time and to minimize waste. A big help was the donation of two nail guns.
