Following on from the success of the World Environment Day dinner, Geelong Central have joined with RC Bayside, Geelong, East and Highton to apply for a CoGG Environment grant. The aim is to inform and inspire Rotarians and members of the general public about what is happening local and the small changes we can all make individually to future-proof Australia. The program initially has five offerings:
- Bee hotel building workshop – take home, using recycled timber
- Cooking class on family plant-based meals – cook and eat
- Visit to composting site at Lara or Anakie
- Visit to Sparrowvale wetlands restoration
- “Environment in the Pub” – casual drinks & presentation
